I was looking at the Polarizer social media channels today, and one of my great pet peeves about bands has come true about my own. We've been teasing shows, tours, and our release without actually putting anything out, and for quite some time.
This is completely my fault.
For the bulk of 2012, we have worked on our first official release, which we have titled 'Lightscapes'. With six tracks (Wirewalker, You and Your Tell, Portals, Back Down Brother, All the Lights Go Out At Once, and Monuments), we truly feel this is a great representation of our sound after a full year of writing and performing. We're so excited about how this project sounds and simply cannot wait to share it with the world.
We are just past the 1 year mark as a band. It went by so very fast.
We played our first show together as Polarizer on 11/5 of 2011, and we just finished our last show of 2012 with another Klas appearance last Friday. We've played a very eclectic range of shows this year, from sharing the Metro stage with our local favorites, to playing the single most ridiculous show I've ever been a part of (or witnessed); in a makeshift tent in the backyard of a motorcycle party, hosted by a shirtless man named Spider. It's all gold.
